We also have great deals on our variant covers by Craig Taillefer and Bryan Silverbax & Wes Hartman.

Issue 4 is 30 pages of sword & sorcery, loosely inspired by Bram Stoker's Jewel of the Seven Stars and Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's The Ring of Thoth, the latter of which provided the basis for Universal's 1932 film, The Mummy.

Like I've said before, Issue 4 is, in my humble opinion, the best script I've written for the series. And Mick and Julio have done a fantastic job with the interiors, as you saw in the preview I sent last week.

This issue is a biggie, and a major turning point in the series.

So, if you haven't already, please...

about 1 year ago – Tue, Apr 01, 2025 at 06:08:29 PM

Hello from the Blazing World!

Like the subject line says, we’re just one week out from the big launch for BLAZING BLADE OF FRANKENSTEIN #4 on Tuesday, April 8th.

Below is a preview of the first six pages.

MILD SPOILERS AHOY IF FOR SOME REASON YOU HAVEN'T READ ISSUE 3 YET!

So I'll give you plenty of space in case you decide not to look...

Ready?

Oh, before I show you the preview:

Issue 4 is 30 pages of sword & sorcery, loosely inspired by Bram Stoker's Jewel of the Seven Stars and Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's The Ring of Thoth, the latter of which provided the basis for Universal's 1932 film, The Mummy.

OK, for real this time.

Here's the preview:

BBoF #4 Cover Reveals + CARMILLA UNBOUND: 1984
about 1 year ago – Wed, Mar 19, 2025 at 04:24:53 PM

Hey there -

If you haven't heard the news, the next issue of BLAZING BLADE OF FRANKENSTEIN is coming in just a few short weeks, and we want you to be among the first to find out when it goes live.

Last time, I promised you a peek at Mick Beyer's inks for the standard cover. So without further ado...

Cover art by Mick Beyers

We think this is some of Mick's best work, and we're stoked to be offering this bad boy for sale during the campaign.

Make sure you head to our Pre-Launch page to see the finished cover (you got a sneak peek in that project image), plus our Universal Movie Poster variant by Bryan Silverbax--both with stunning colors by Wes Hartman.

Back soon with a preview and more details about plans for the rest of the series, including our launch date for issue 4!

Meanwhile...

Wes has been busy!

In addition to coloring both of our variants for BBoF, he also found time to knock it out of the park on Don Nguyen's cover for my latest collab with David Schrader, CARMILLA UNBOUND: 1984.

Don Nguyen line art; Wes Hartman colors - SFW version

We launched last week and are closing in on our second stretch goal at $16,069--you can help get us there!

"Carmilla Unbound: 1984" follows the adventures of Carmilla Karnstein, a centuries-old vampire navigating the city's underbelly.

Like a vampire Dexter, she's been using her powers to rid the world of evil, one bad guy at a time.

But times have changed, and as her targets have gotten richer, Carmilla finds herself in a dangerous game of survival against a demonic force...

Heads up! Carmilla leans more R rated than Frankenstein, so I won't share all the images here. But for you daring sort...

That's all for now! Back VERY soon with that preview and launch date for BBoF #4...

Full Variant Cover Reveal!
about 1 year ago – Tue, Jan 28, 2025 at 11:59:31 AM

Hello from the Blazing World!

Last time out, I shared Craig Taillefer's sketch for his variant cover to issue 4. And now, drumroll, please...

Behold the final version!

Craig knocked this out of the park, and after being a fan for many years, we're thrilled to have his work grace the cover.

If you're not familiar with his stuff (or even if you are!), hurry on over to his campaign for SIAN: THIEF OF KHOR-SHAVARAH #1 to get a double shot of great-looking sword & sorcery:

OK! Back soon with a peek at Mick Beyer's inks for the standard cover. It's a doozy, and (don't tell him I said this), maybe the best thing he's ever drawn...

See you soon!
